Before the Aug. 24 New Britain Rock Cats Game. Team Owner and United Way Board Member Bill Dowling presented McCue employees with the award. A pleasant tribute to the company’s long history of serving the United Way, New Britain area non-profits and partners.

Jennifer’s name was drawn out of a hat of almost 600 customer entries that submitted their email address for a chance to win. “My colleagues at work couldn’t believe it, and were envious to say the least,” said Jennifer. “I don’t normally give my email out for contests, but I figured this was my mortgage company. I am glad I did.”

According to Gary Kulik, vice president of marketing at McCue Mortgage, the company is soliciting their customers’ email addresses so they can communicate more efficiently with them. “We send a paper newsletter four times a year to our customers. Francis correctly selected the Final Four teams in the NCAA women’s basketball tournament. He was one of five McCue Mortgage customers who had the correct selections, and his name was randomly selected from those five entries.

The McCue Mortgage March Madness Challenge was open to the company’s customers who were asked to fill out their selections in the men’s and women’s final four. All entries with the correct final four selections were put into a hat and a winner randomly selected. If customers got the final four men correct, and final four women correct, they got two entries in the final drawing. If a customer had one of final four correct (men’s or women’s), they earned one entry in the final drawing. There were no correct entries for the men’s final four as Virginia Commonwealth University’s upset the number one seed Kansas in the elite eight.

The Mattison’s say they are big Connecticut basketball fans and were excited when they got the news they had won. “What a nice surprise!” said Francis “While I was the one who submitted the winning teams, it was mom who actually did the picking.”

New Britain, CT – December 9, 2010 – The McCue Mortgage Company and the Connecticut Mortgage Bankers Association (CMBA) teamed up to gather hundreds of toys in support of the Salvation Army’s Annual Holiday Toy Drive in New Britain. Together, the two organizations helped make the holidays a bit more joyful for many families in New Britain.

According to Major Stanley Newton, minister at the Salvation Army in New Britain, over 300 applications were received this year for support during the holidays, with most of those applications from families with children. Major Newton estimates this year’s toy drive will touch over 1000 area children. “The reality is there are children who wake up on Christmas morning having nothing under their tree,” said Major Newton. “It is support from companies like McCue Mortgage and the CMBA that make the difference. We are just the facilitators. We could not do it without the support of local businesses and their employees.”

“McCue Mortgage is committed to helping the communities we serve,” said Vice President Katherine A. McCue. “We are thrilled with our employees’ generosity for the Salvation Army Toy Drive. The response from the membership of the Connecticut Mortgage Bankers Association has helped make this event an even greater success.”

New Britain, CT – November 3, 2010 – Based on figures released by the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) the McCue Mortgage Company was ranked the top CHFA mortgage lender in the state through the third quarter of 2010.

The CHFA homeownership program provides opportunities for first-time buyers throughout Connecticut. Qualified borrowers must fit CHFA’s sales price and income limits in order to benefit from the program’s below market fixed rates, down payment assistance, and McCue Mortgage’s easy lending process.

In addition to its position of top originator of CHFA’s homeownership program, the company was also one of the top producers of the Authority’s CT FAMLIES program, a refinance program for Connecticut homeowners who anticipate becoming or are delinquent on their mortgage obligations. The CT FAMLIES program provides qualified homeowners the option of refinancing their mortgage into more affordable 30-year fixed-rate loans.

“Our focus has always been helping homebuyers purchase and keep their first home. Our ranking as the top provider of CHFA’s first-time homebuyer program, combined with our leadership in the CT FAMLIES program, is a result of that focus and commitment,” said William J. McCue, president of the McCue Mortgage Company.
